  1. Thanks again for this presentation. A member of the C-STAR group here in SC used a similar approach, using a parser to assess the syntactic complexity (rather than rule frequency) of speech samples of people with stroke-based aphasia. They found implication of damage to frontal regions with reduced structural complexity. However one of the issues they dealt with is how the parser handled ungrammatical structures, similar to my question. Thought you’d be interested in taking a look at this.
